Karate helps me to connect with my soul. Karate instills patience, self discipline and presence
of mind. It promotes learning through one’s mistakes and mindfulness. It also promotes mental flexibility
and is like music for the soul. It is a magnificent tool for brain body coordination and it takes the fitness
to the next level. It stops me from going towards certain danger and threat and at the same time it
teaches me how to repel it, should it come my way. Some people do yoga and some do meditation to
connect with their inner self. I do it with Karate.

About

The Institute has been fondly christened by the founder and director to kindle the visionary elan of her loving father, Dr Balendra Kumar Mishra.

The institute does, and shall ever continue to uphold the value system propagated by Dr Balendra Kumar Mishra.

In a unique and unprecedented portrayal of the martial art, Dr Madhu paints Karate on a bigger canvas by extending it beyond the articulate offensive and defensive manoeuvres. She is a pioneer of a comprehensive unarmed combat system designed exclusively for the protection of women and children.

Her application entails early warning appraisals using body language readings of potential offenders, laced with teachings about time and space precautions for intuitive
avoidance of likely ambush sites that may have been chosen by the offenders. Techniques for negotiating through zones of vulnerability have been duly incorporated. In her teachings, women and children are to go through a series of presentations, lectures demonstrations, mock drills and tests that have a striking resemblance with military training. It is a fusion of the martial art of Karate, Psychology, body language and time and space assessments coupled with technology to avert crimes against women and children.

In a nutshell, it is the mechanics of the gut feeling of a woman coupled with the legacy of traditional Shotokan Karate. Evolution and refinement in her art remain a constant feature and with the continuous impetus from her teachers namely Sensei Shri Rajesh Pamma and Sensei Shri Manoj Mishra, Karate becomes tailor made in the Indian perspective.

The functioning of the Institute is governed by an uncompromising ethical code created by its senior mentors.
